← All guidesA compact workspace at the top of your display
NotchNook combines calendar, notes, tasks and timers with media and the file Tray in a panel at the top of your Mac display. Start with one task you perform often and test whether the shorter interaction is useful. The app does not require a physical notch.
During the trial, use the display arrangement where you normally work. Test opening the panel, changing between the tools you need and returning to your main application. A broad feature list is less useful than confirming the functions that matter to your own routine.
Calendar and relevant permissions
Calendar features require the corresponding macOS permission. Review NotchNook access in System Settings → Privacy & Security if events are unavailable. Grant access for the feature you want to use and check the calendar content you expect to see.
If access is already granted but the feature fails, note the installed version, macOS version and exact symptom. Do not repeatedly reset permissions or remove accounts as a generic fix. Share only redacted event information with support so a diagnosis does not expose private appointments.
Notes and tasks
Notes support basic formatting including bold, italic and underline. Tasks include starring and archiving. Try those actions with a simple example before using the tools for important work, and check that the result is what you expected.
Keep existing notes and preferences intact when reporting a problem. This guide does not promise synchronization with a particular external task service or cloud backup. If such integration is essential, check the current feature information and actual trial behavior before purchasing.
Timers, mirror and live activities
Timers provide wheel controls and presets. Haptic behavior depends on applicable Force Touch hardware. Test a short timer and confirm the completion behavior on your Mac instead of assuming a setting from another device applies.
The mirror uses the camera and needs camera permission. Live activities include battery, Bluetooth and calendar information. These are separate functions: grant only relevant access and test each one you need. An unavailable camera feature should not lead you to erase unrelated app data.
Shortcuts, gestures and choosing a plan
The panel supports pointer interaction and a trackpad swipe-down gesture. Review the current Settings and download instructions for available controls. This guide does not invent a universal keyboard shortcut or claim a system HUD replacement merely because people search for those terms.
The 48-hour trial includes all features without a card. Try your actual calendar, notes, task and timer routine, then choose a current plan if it fits. If a feature prevents use, send support the exact steps and versions first rather than paying again or assuming an unpublished fix exists.
