Download and install

Download the current Mac build from getnotchnook.com/download. Open the download and drag NotchNook into Applications, then launch it. A normal macOS confirmation for an application downloaded from the internet may appear. Use the official instructions rather than weakening Mac security to run an unidentified copy.

The current app requires macOS 14.6 or later and supports Intel and Apple silicon. Check your system before installation. A directory entry or an old video may link another version, so compare the download with the official release notes.

Open the panel and settings

Move the pointer to the panel at the top of the display or use the supported trackpad swipe-down gesture. To reach settings, right-click an empty area of the panel and open Settings. A display without a physical notch can still use the interface.

Set up the features you intend to use rather than granting unrelated permissions automatically. Calendar and camera features need their corresponding macOS permissions; media applications may require Automation access. Launch at login can be enabled in Settings if you want the app to start with your session.

Updates and release notes

Read the current release notes before comparing an issue with an old review. Use the official download when obtaining the current build. If an update behaves unexpectedly, preserve the installed version number, macOS version and exact error so support can identify which build is involved.

A beta mentioned in a search result is not automatically the current public release. This guide does not announce a beta channel or an unreleased fix. Do not replace your installation with a mirror because its version number looks newer without checking the official source.

Remove the application safely

If you want to remove NotchNook, quit it normally first and remove the application from Applications using Finder. Review its launch-at-login setting so you know whether it was configured to start automatically. Save anything you need before removing an application.

Do not delete unidentified Library folders or reset macOS permissions as a routine uninstall step. This guide does not provide a destructive data-cleanup script. If your goal is to fix a bug, keep your preferences, notes and Tray data intact and contact support with the symptom.

Uninstalling does not cancel billing

Removing the Mac application does not cancel a monthly subscription. Manage a current subscription through the billing portal in License settings and check its confirmation. If you already removed the app and need help accessing billing, contact support from the purchase email.

For first-time users, the 48-hour trial lets you test the app without entering a card. When it works for your needs, choose a plan on the official site. For an existing installation problem, use troubleshooting and support before making another payment.
