What is NotchNook?

NotchNook is a macOS app that turns the MacBook notch into an interactive space for music controls, calendar, notes, tasks, timers and a file tray. It also has a mirror and live activities for battery, Bluetooth and calendar events.

Is NotchNook still available?

Yes. NotchNook is back, with a new home: getnotchnook.com is the official site. Version 1.6.3 came out in September 2026 and is ready for macOS 26 Tahoe.

Where can I download NotchNook?

From the official download page on getnotchnook.com. Copies on other sites may be outdated or modified.

Does NotchNook work on macOS 26 Tahoe?

Yes. NotchNook runs on macOS 14.6 or later, including macOS 26 Tahoe.

Does NotchNook work on Intel Macs?

Yes. NotchNook is a universal app for both Apple silicon and Intel Macs.

Does my Mac need a notch?

No. On Macs without a notch, a slim handle at the top of the screen opens the same Nook, with the same core features.

Can I try NotchNook for free?

Yes. Every feature is free for 48 hours, and no card is required.

How much does NotchNook cost?

Until October 13, relaunch pricing applies: US$2/month, for as long as your subscription stays active, or US$15 one-time for lifetime access. After that, NotchNook costs US$3/month or US$25 one-time. You can try every feature free for 48 hours before you buy.

What can I do with NotchNook?

Control the music or video playing on your Mac, see your next calendar events, write quick notes, keep a to-do list, start timers, check yourself in the mirror before a call, drop files into the Tray to keep them close, send files with AirDrop and follow live activities for battery, Bluetooth devices and calendar events.

Does NotchNook work with multiple displays?

Yes. NotchNook supports multiple monitors.

Can I cancel or get a refund?

Yes. You can cancel the monthly plan at any time from the billing portal linked in the app's License settings, and you can ask for a refund within 7 days of buying.
